Margot started her formal acting training at Brandeis University in Boston where she majored in Theatre Arts, getting her Bachelor of Arts degree. After working in New York where she studied at the HB Studios, and Stella Adler, she moved to London and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

She performed in many London theatrical productions at well-known theaters such as The Riverside Studios, The Old Red Lion and The Finborough amongst others. She worked with such notables as Alexander Siddig, Erin Cressida Wilson and Steve Shill. She was cast by Neil Simon to play Madeleine Kahn's daughter in "London Suite" for Hallmark, and this star-studded production also featured Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kelsey Grammar, Patricia Clarkson and Michael Richards.

In Richard Attenborough's World War I epic, "In Love and War," she played Sandra Bullock's friend Rosie; Chris O'Donnell and Mackenzie Austin also starred.

While in London she also appeared on BBC TV in the hit series 2 Point 4 Children. She did voice-over work and started her own theatre company, Nomad Productions, which was dedicated to introducing English audiences to new American writing. Her productions included the European premieres of works by Julie Jensen and Erin Cressida Wilson.

She moved to New York after her marriage to a New York based musician, and has appeared on numerous episodes of Law & Order, Kimmy Schmidt, I Love You But I Lied. She can also be heard on many television and radio commercials. She is currently the voice of Frontier Communications.
